How To Fold A Scarf Along The Bias
Start by taking a square silk scarf and placing it in front of you on a flat surface in a diamond-like shape.
Take the furthest point of the scarf (the top point of the diamond) and fold it one third of the way down. The point will now sit approximately two thirds of the way down the scarf.
Now take the bottom point of the scarf and fold it upwards so its point touches the top edge of the scarf and the shape is symmetrical.
Now take the top lip of the scarf and fold it down towards the center.
Now take the bottom lip of the scarf and fold it up towards the center.
Now fold the bottom lip of the scarf towards the top of the scarf.
This process of taking the opposite corners of a scarf and folding alternately inwards is called folding along the bias and is the basis of many scarf tying methods.
